World Book Online – Accurate, authoritative, easy to read articles from The World Book Encyclopedia.  Extensive graphic and multimedia enhancements, including photographs, maps, illustrations, tables, animations, and audio/video clips.  You will need your Easton library card to access this resource.

Biographical Dictionary – An award winning, top rated net site. This dictionary lists over 27,000 biographies. It is easy to search by Name, Keyword or Date.  Entries are brief, but a great starting place for younger students.

Encyclopedia Britannica – This is the place to do in-depth research. Britannica offers a quick overview, or more detailed information for every search. Also provides links to websites, books and magazines. The site looks complicated, but just type in your search and see what happens!

Fact Monster – provides concise facts and information on a myriad of subjects, including science, math, social studies, sports, popular culture, and more.

Great Websites for Kids – A compilation of exemplary websites geared to children from birth to age 14, sponsored by the American Library Association and the Association for Library Service to Children.

Internet Public Library for Kids – Staffed by volunteer librarians and library students, this site provides answers to reference questions on a variety of topics.

KidsClick! – This search site was designed by librarians to provide kid-friendly results on a number of topics.

My Homework Helper – provides links to a variety of sites covering many academic subjects.

Outline Maps – A collection of outline maps, both physical and political, of a variety of regions. Includes maps of the U.S. in 1776 and 1860. Easy to print for use in reports.

A + Math – provides interactive math resources featuring worksheets, games, flashcards, and more.

Chem4Kids – contains information on basic chemistry, including atoms, elements, the periodic table, reactions, and biochemistry.

United States Legislative Information – the official source for federal legislative information, including information on Senators and Representatives.
